Gypsum

Gypsum is an infinitely recyclable resource, with a recycling rate of around 92%. The gypsum is ground into gypsum powder, which is then used to make new plasterboard. This reduces the need to extract new raw materials such as natural gypsum and contributes to lower CO₂ emissions from production. The result is less waste and a more circular economy, where resources are reused. Recycling gypsum delivers significant environmental benefits — for the construction industry, society, and future generations.

NG Downstream supplies gypsum to gypsum recyclers across Europe. NG Nordic also operates its own production facility in Holmestrand, Norway.
